ABOUT US
About me
I have had a strong interest in family history from an early age. Over 20 years ago I started to immersed myself in researching, documenting and charting my own family tree with ancestors going back to the late 1700’s. From this experience I became familiar with the Irish record repositories, particularly the three C’s – the civil, census and church records, etc. I have also developed an interest in sourcing information from land records, cemetery information, wills, newspapers and graveyards.
My professional and academic experience has provided me with strong expertise in research methodologies, data analysis and report writing. In addition, I use other skills I have developed in video production, IT and website development.

Academic
I hold qualifications from both Irish and international universities including a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Dublin City University (DCU) and an MA in Adult Education from a St Thomas University, Minnesota. I also hold a Diploma in Family History Research (Genealogy) from the Independent College, Dublin delivered in conjunction with Accredited Genealogists Ireland (AGI).
Employment
I have worked within the different educational sectors from primary to adult education for most of my life.

I became an Afflitiate of Accredited Genealogists Ireland (AGI) in 2017 and full member in 2019. I am member of the Irish Genealogical Research Society (IGRS) and the Irish Family History Society.
